The Pinellas Beekeepers Association has a training day each month that meets at the SPC apiary on the Saturday following the Thursday night meeting, typically beginning at 8:30 am (weather permitting).  Members along with non-members have the opportunity to learn about bees and go through a hive.

The Apiary is located on the Seminole Campus of St. Petersburg College.
Directions:
Around the corner from St Petersburg College Seminole campus – west on 102nd Avenue off of 113th Street. Turn left on to Ridge Road, approximately 200 yards on the left. Park on the east side of Ridge Road and walk a short distance to the Apiary.

Before arriving, drink plenty of fluids and be sure to dress appropriately. A bee suit is preferred. However, wearing long pants and a long sleeve shirt with gloves will suffice.   No shorts or open-toed shoes will be permitted in the apiary.  A limited supply of gear is available on a first come first serve basis.

An SPC and PBA release of liability waiver must be signed by anyone attending.
