November 30, 2019 @ 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

9:00 am (not our normal start time of 8:30) – weather permitting. Come join us as we look at what is going on in the PBA honey bee hives and join our 3rd Honey Harvest. Bring your protective clothing to wear. A limited supply of gear is available on a first come first serve basis. Bring water to keep hydrated. A SPC and PBA waiver must be signed for anyone attending.

Next you will experience the whole process of removing the capped wax, spinning the honey out of the frames, straining and then bucketing in the “Honey House”.

If you can not join us at 9:00 but want to experience the extraction meet us at 11:30 am at the “Honey House” located in the SPC Apiary. Look for signs.

For those that might need directions:

Around the corner from St Petersburg College Seminole campus – west on 102nd Avenue off of 113th Street. Left turn on Ridge Road, approximately 200 yards on the left. Park on the east side of Ridge Road and walk a short distance to the Apiary. Sorry, there is NO address for you GPS’ers, but I’ve been told if you put these coordinates (27.864047,-82.797729) in a GPS it will get you very close.

Hope to see you Saturday November 30th at the SPC Apiary.
