The PBA oversees two apiaries in Pinellas County. Members are encouraged to visit the apiaries for observing the beekeeping process up-close and personal!
How honey is made
01. Flowers produce nectar and attract our bees
02. Bees collect the nectar and carry it to the beehive
03. Bees seal cells with wax and honey ripens
04. We collect the product and transfer it to the packaging
Even though the bee is small, there she is on the flower, doing something of value. And the value she creates there contributes to a larger ecosystem of value, in that mountain meadow, in that range of mountains, in the world and even the universe. And can’t you just feel how happy she is?
